Cookie Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This Cookie Policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies on this website, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools (10 June 2021) and applicable Italian law. Data controller: D4B Engineering di Paolo Porqueddu (VAT no. 01990480905), Via Bologna, 10154 Turin (TO), Italy – [email protected]. For details on personal data processing please read the Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites send to your device, where they are stored and later sent back to the same websites on your next visit. They allow the site to recognise the device and remember preferences and settings.

2. Cookies and services we use

a) Technical cookies (necessary, no consent required)

Name Purpose Duration
cookieConsent Stores the choice made in the cookie banner (first party, SameSite=Lax). 12 months

The public pages of the site do not set any other first-party cookies, not even session cookies. The restricted areas (client portal and administration), accessible only with credentials, may use technical session cookies that exist only after login and are deleted when the browser is closed or the session expires.

b) Google reCAPTCHA (security, third-party service)

The contact, call-request and subscription forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA v2 to tell humans from automated software. The script is loaded only when you open the booking window or start filling in a form, not on every visit. Google may set its own cookies or access identifiers and browser data (such as the IP address) for this security purpose, according to its own privacy policy. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

c) Analytics cookies – Google Analytics 4 (only with consent)

If, and only if, you choose “Accept analytics cookies”, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is loaded, which collects statistics on site usage (pages viewed, visit duration, device type, origin). Before consent, no Google Analytics script or cookie is loaded. Advertising features (Google Signals and ads personalisation) are disabled in the site configuration. According to Google’s documentation, GA4 does not log or store users’ IP addresses.

Name Purpose Maximum duration
_ga Distinguishes users in pseudonymous form for statistics. up to 2 years
_ga_<ID> Persists the measurement session state. up to 2 years

3. Legal basis

4. Transfers outside the EU

Google services (reCAPTCHA and, with consent, GA4) may involve transfers of data to non-EU countries, in particular the United States, based on an adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, according to Google’s terms. Google Analytics data is processed only if you accept analytics cookies.

5. Managing your preferences

On your first visit a banner lets you accept analytics cookies or limit yourself to strictly necessary ones: both options are equally prominent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Manage cookies” button at the bottom of every page: if you withdraw consent, Google Analytics cookies are deleted and measurement stops. You can also manage or delete cookies from your browser settings.

6. Disabling cookies via browser

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Guides for the most common browsers:
